The best one is bamboo, which has toughness and strength. If you cannot find it, use a knife to cut a wooden branch that is about the same length and thickness. The principle is to find new branches instead of old branches, and wet branches instead of dry branches. This type of branch has greater toughness. To add, I saw another post introducing one of the methods for lightning protection in the wild, which is to set up a metal tent pole and insert it about ten meters away from the tent as a lightning rod. Obviously, when camping, the only way to do it is to use tree branches instead of tent poles.
